ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:
McDougall Energy is looking for a highly motivated and accurate team member dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experience to join our team as Finance Manager. Reporting to the Director, Finance, this role will support the team in the following areas:
- Month-end and year-end close.
- Annual audit preparation and participation.
- Support management in review of select business line activity.
- Coordinate all balance sheet account reconciliation process to ensure monthly process and necessary action items are taken while ensuring documentation for all accounts is current and thorough.
- Subject Matter Expert on account reconciliation.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience working in accounting.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or finance.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; both verbal and written
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills, including the ability to effectively prioritize a significant workload
- Proficient in working with Microsoft Office Suite; specifically Excel
- Demonstrated experience working with a large ERP system an asset
- Excellent knowledge of accounting and accounting standards, especially Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Strong understanding of Privacy and Confidentiality in the workplace
