City Manager René Mendez appointed Selina Andrews as the City of Salinas’ new Finance Director. Selina joined the City one year ago as the Assistant Finance Director, most recently serving as Acting Finance Director.

“Filling the Finance Director position has been a top priority for me since coming to Salinas, but it was important to take the time to select the right person,” said City Manger René Mendez. “Selina has done amazing work leading the team as the Acting Finance Director, and I’m confident she is the leader the City needs in this critical role.”

Monday, September 30, 2024, was Selina’s first day as Finance Director. Selina has over 18 years of local government experience, primarily in finance positions with the cities of San Jose and Scotts Valley. She holds her BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance.
