Position overview
The Division of Student Administration and Academic Services at the Australian National University is seeking an experienced, energetic, and motivated individual to lead the Student Finance team. This individual will play a key role in providing comprehensive and insightful management reporting, analysis and advice to the Division of Student Administration supporting the achievement of the University’s strategic goals. The Manager Student Finance is responsible for the effective management of student fees and funding distribution; policies and processes in respect of sponsors and agents payments; and designated funds supporting students.
The successful candidate will work closely with peers in the Finance and Business Services Division as well as College Finance teams, and must have strong stakeholder engagement skills. As an effective people manager, the Student Finance Manager enables timely and value added financial management and reporting services, and leads the team which supports delivery of these services to the Division of Student Administration and Division of Student Life. The position will build and maintain professional relationships across campus and represent the Division, as required, for University wide initiatives. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, have extensive people management and engagement experience and proven ability in building high performance teams. Equally as important is the ability to communicate effectively across all areas of the University, be focused on continuous improvement, be well organised and capable to deliver on multiple priorities and key business initiatives.
