I’m Copying Claudia Winkleman’s The Traitors Outfits

I’m Copying Claudia Winkleman’s The Traitors Outfits

The Celebrity Traitors is now in full swing (the final is on the 6th November – we’ve already got a The Traitors-sized hole in our hearts), and with hauntingly good tension, unique twists and turns and laugh/gasp/shout-out-loud games, it’s deliciously addictive stuff. Fans of the show are currently being treated to a very special version of the original show, as The Celebrity Traitors features an all-star cast that’s delighting viewers (you could say we’re absolutely flabbergasted by it). As well as the heart-thumping round table scenes and unbearable cliffhangers, one thing we haven’t been able to peel our eyes away from is Claudia Winkleman’s iconic style, and luckily, our favourite host is donning outfits that are, truly, better than ever.

Working with her stylist, Sinead McKeefry, who also styles Claudia Winkleman on Strictly, Winkleman has excited something of a national furore with her ‘haute country’ outfits, which viewers shopped in their thousands while watching the show. Searches for ‘what Claudia Winkleman wore on The Traitors‘ truly skyrocketed. You’ll often find Winkleman marrying The Kooples and Burberry with ME+EM, Zara and Holland Cooper, and while there’s always heaps of glorious cashmere (most of it from Brora), there are also floor-sweeping coats, knits sourced from the menswear department and, of course, many pairs of Hunter wellies thrown in the mix too. There’s also always major support for independent brands, particularly when it comes to some of the most Googled knitwear pieces from the three seasons, like the balloon-sleeve jumper from Mr Mittens and chunky scarf knitted by independent label Rose & Wül.

McKeefry and Winkleman have developed a very clever formula; Winkleman’s ensembles feel entirely relatable and yet, thanks to the canny integration of fashion-forward and luxury labels, remain aspirational, too. Think Saint Laurent velvet blazers paired with Spanx leggings – ultimately, it’s gothic glam meets power dressing, and we can’t get enough of it.

©BBC/Studio Lambert/Euan Cherry

McKeefry told us that since the first series of the show, she’s had ‘friends in retail saying people are coming in and asking for ‘Claudia in The Traitors look’, and my friends in the fashion crowd have been loving it, too.’ The stylist said she and Winkleman had a clear vision: ‘I think because [Claudia and I] enjoyed being back in the process, we had our inspirations and knew what our look wanted to be… Ronnie Corbett meets Princess Anne meets Madonna (in the Guy Ritchie days!)’

©BBC/Studio Lambert

As The Celebrity Traitors hits our screens, we’ve tracked down some of Winkleman’s best sartorial hits from the show, as many are still available to shop to get that Claudia Winkleman The Traitors look. From faux fur coats to her masterclass in layering – think sharp tailoring, structured blazers and heaps of cashmere with the kind of polish only Winkleman can pull off – every outfit delivers.

Right here is where to shop Winkleman’s looks from all the episodes of The Celebrity Traitors – plus all the affordable alternatives from the high street. *Spoilers incoming*

Episode eight

We’ve come to expect a statement look from Winkleman now, so it should come as no surprise to see her in this absolutely outrageous (in the best possible way) Valentino sequinned vest during the round table scene, which saw Kate Garaway banished. Underneath it she wears Wolf & Badger’s Chelsea Shirt in white and finishes the look with two of her trusty pieces – a pair of Spanx leggings and Bottega Veneta boots.

Farfetch

Valentino’s Ribbed Sequinned Sweater Vest is the jumper of the moment – and it’s easy to see why with its sequinned embellishments and V-neck fit. Winkleman wears hers with a white shirt underneath.

John Lewis

As Winkleman’s Valentino sweater vest is so unique, no design is ever going to come close to that statement. However, this style from Whistles is excellent for the party season, particularly when paired with high-waisted leather trousers and boots.

Exact match

Wolf & Badger

Underneath the statement sweater vest, Winkleman wears this exact Wolf & Badger white shirt, complete with a stand collar and double cuffs.

Exact match

MyTheresa

A mainstay in Winkleman’s The Traitors wardrobe, these Bottega boots are seen in almost every single one of her looks. And, although the boots are out of stock in most places, we’ve managed to track it down on MyTheresa.

In episode eight, Winkleman takes statement-dressing to the extreme with an Isabel Marant jumper that’s made from a soft, wool-blend boucle material for a creepy challenge that involved players taking mannequin heads across a room filled with laser beams. And, as there’s only one size in stock, we’ve found a couple of excellent alternatives from LouLou de Saison and ASOS.

Net-A-Porter

Price: $645 (was £1,290)

If you’re on the lookout for a statement piece of knitwear – Isabel Marant has the style for you. Crafted from a soft, fringed wool-blend boucle, this jumper is as cosy as it is statement-making, which is probably why there’s only one size left.

Farfetch

If your size is out of stock in the Isabel Marant design, LouLou de Saison has its Fringe Wool Sweater that’s incredibly similar, and it’s made from alpaca wool.

ASOS

Price: $140

Luckily, the high street has pulled through once again with an affordable take on the boucle style.

Exact match

Spanx

As much of a mainstay in Winkleman’s wardrobe as her Bottega Boots, these Spanx leggings go with Winkleman no matter what show she’s presenting (Strictly included).

Episode seven

Not one to miss up on the opportunity to dress in velvet, Winkleman’s latest outfit is every part dramatic as we’ve come to expect from her. As she gears up for another banishment, Winkleman is seen wearing Reiss’ Teal Parisa Velvet Single Breasted Blazer (now, unfortunately sold out), as well as her go-to Spanx leggings and a checked shirt.

©BBC/Studio Lambert

Jigsaw

The original Reiss velvet blazer Winkleman is seen wearing is now unavailable, so we’ve tracked down the next best thing – this Jigsaw style that features satin trims and front pockets.

Episode seven is one for the books – and of course, that means another Winkleman outfit for the books, too. While in the castle, Winkleman is seen wearing a Sandro Embellished Cotton-Flannel Shirt (now out of stock), a COS Merino Wool V-Neck Vest and a pair of skinny black jeans (she’s worn this Holland Cooper pair in previous seasons too). When the remaining players head outside for their latest challenge which involved walking across a wobbly bridge, Winkleman is seen in a khaki peacoat from Saint Laurent (now unavailable but we’ve found a really similar Mango coat), and her favourite pair of Bottega Veneta boots.

©BBC/Studio Lambert

Exact match

COS

Always a fan of high-low dressing, Winkleman is seen wearing this exact COS V-Neck Vest over the top of her checked Sandro shirt. It’s also available in an autumnal chocolate brown.

Exact match

Holland Cooper

If you’re on the hunt for the perfect black skinny jean, Holland Cooper’s Jodhpur Jean should be in the running. Designed with plenty of stretch and a flattering high-waist, pair with chunky boots and a cape coat this autumn/winter.

Mango

Mango’s khaki peacoat might not be Winkleman’s exact style, but it’s incredibly similar, with the same angled pocket detailing, oversized lapels and short length. Style over the top of a cashmere knit and with your favourite pair of jeans.

Selfridges

Sandro knows how to take a classic shirt and elevate it with embellishments and pearls, and this style is evidence of that. Take styling notes from Winkleman and pair with a sweater vest and skinny jeans.

With Nothing Underneath

For a high street take, With Nothing Underneath has a similar checked shirt that’s perfect for this time of year.

Episode six

Episode six’s round table moment was (yet another) tense one, perfectly foreshadowed by Winkleman’s monochrome outfit. Fortunately, her exact Nadine Merabi style is still in stock, so you too can recreate her evening look, even if you’re not planning on spending your night around the round table. This ME+EM style will create a similar kind of look.

Exact match

Nadine Merabi

Winkleman is seen in episode six wearing Nadine Merabi’s Lydia Dress, a style that’s perfect for the upcoming party season. Finished with statement shoulder pads, a detachable satin belt and velvet embroidered lace, style with a pair of black heels and a gold clutch.

ME+EM

ME+EM has an incredibly similar style to Winkleman’s original Nadine Merabi style, with the addition of more sequins (which is always a good thing).

In episode six Winkleman returns to her usual The Traitors outfit formula with Burberry’s Multicolour Pleated Skirt With Check Motif, and camel-coloured roll neck also from the brand. Then, later on when she’s standing at the chessboard, we see her throw on a Burberry Long Cashmere Kensington Trench Coat over the entire ensemble. Winkleman chooses to finish the outfit with a pair of Paris Texas brown Nadia Boots, which are perfect for autumn.

Farfetch

Winkleman’s exact Burberry colourway (a delicious caramel tan brown) is currently unavailable – but we’ve done the next best thing and tracked down the same jumper in this forest green colour.

Exact match

Burberry

No full Burberry look is complete without one of its iconic trench coats. This one is slightly different too, as its tailored from technical cashmere, giving it a sumptuously soft feel that’s perfect for afternoons in the Scottish Highlands.

Exact match

Farfetch

Price: $645 (was £1,290)

Not one to ignore the moment of a full Burberry outfit, Winkleman wears its Checked Wool Skirt among other pieces from the same brand. For a look you can wear to the office, think about styling the skirt with white socks, patent loafers and a cardigan.

Exact match

Paris Texas

The Nadia boots from Paris Texas are everything you want from a statement brown boot. With a pointed toe and slim cone heel, take notes from Winkleman and style with a midi skirt and chunky knit.

M&S

Our go-to for affordable knitwear, M&S’s Air-Yarn Roll Neck Jumper is incredibly similar to the one spotted on Winkleman, and also a fraction of the price. Complete with added stretch for a cosy and comfortable fit, it will make for the perfect addition to your autumn/winter wardrobe.

Monsoon

We’ve tracked down a very similar style from the high street if you didn’t want to invest in Winkleman’s exact Burberry style. Monsoon’s iteration features a chic wrap front, fringed hem and gold button.

Episode five

At the end of episode five we were left on a cliff-hanger in the middle of a (very crucial) round table – will Mark Bonnar or David Olusoga be banished? And how? Although the drama had us all hooked, another thing we couldn’t take our eyes off was Winkleman’s outfit – Paul Smith’s Dusky Blue Velvet Contrast-Trimmed Belted Blazer, Black Tie Shirt and a pair of her favourite Spanx leggings.

©Instagram/@sineadmckeefry

Exact match

Paul Smith

Winkleman wears this exact Paul Smith velvet blazer in episode five of The Celebrity Traitors. She’s styled it with leggings and a black shirt, and without the middle belt, we might add.

Exact match

Paul Smith

This Paul Shirt Black Tie Shirt is described by the brand as ‘perfect for parties’, and we can see why. With its removable tie (depending on what kind of look you’re going for), tonal buttons and a curved hemline, tuck it into a pair of high-waisted jeans for post-work drinks.

Anthropologie

If you’re looking for a high street alternative to Winkleman’s blue velvet blazer, Anthropologie’s is super similar, with a lapel collar, front flap pockets and slightly oversized silhouette.

In episode five, Winkleman wears one of autumn/winter 2025’s biggest trends – the pleated midi skirt. Making a departure from any schoolgirl connotations, the pleated skirt has done something of a volte-face over the last couple of months – and most likely even more so now Winkleman has been seen wearing a Prada one to the latest mission. She pairs the grey pleated midi with a similarly coloured Johnstons of Elgin cable knit cashmere tank, Zara’s Dark Brown Oversized Coat With Wool (now sold out), Fair Isle fingerless gloves (from Hambro and Miller), and her trusty Bottega Veneta boots.

©BBC/Studio Lambert

Exact match

Selfridges

Winkleman’s exact skirt is this one from Prada, complete with a mid-rise waist, safety pin at the front and pleated flared hem. But, if you want to get one for yourself, hesitation isn’t advised as it’s selling out fast.

Exact match

Johnstons of Elgin

Winkleman wears this cable knit tank from Johnstons of Elgin, which is made from 100% cashmere and is inspired by traditional Aran cable stitch. Take styling cues from her and style with a pleated skirt and biker boots.

Exact match

Hambro and Miller

Winkleman is loving Hambro and Miller in this season of The Celebrity Traitors, and she’s seen wearing a pair of its wristwarmers in episode five. It looks like she’s wearing the grey/blue colourway.

Selfridges

RO&ZO’s coat in a deep chocolatey brown shade is incredibly similar to the one Winkleman wears, with a smart and oversized lapel, buttoned front and flap pockets. Plus, it’s made from 100% to keep you warm this winter, even if you’re not in the Scottish Highlands.

H&M

A good high street grey pleated skirt comes from H&M, whose design is perfect for pairing with tights and chunky boots. Made with a flattering calf-length and a high waist, it’s an essential you’re going to want to invest in this cosy season.

COS

Underneath Winkleman’s Johnstons of Elgin cable knit vest she wears a cashmere long sleeve top from COS. Although her exact style is now unavailable, this jumper from the brand will make for a similar look.

Brora

Winkleman is also seen wearing a pair of Fair Isle gloves. This pair is from one of her favourite brands, Brora, and is made from the finest, softest Scottish cashmere.

ASOS

Price: $45

For a high street alternative to Winkleman’s charcoal cable knit jumper, look to ASOS, where there’s a super similar chunky design, complete with drop shoulders and ribbed trims.

Episode four

Episode four saw one of Winkleman’s best looks yet, as she brought her signature gothic glamour to the castle with a standout look. Not only was broadcaster Clare Balding banished, but Winkleman also wears a textured black Simone Rocha cardigan paired with a dramatic tulle skirt from the same designer (now unfortunately sold out). Of course, paired with her favourite Bottega Veneta boots.

Farfetch

Partywear season is fast approaching, and Winkleman wears the perfect Simone Rocha cardigan for it. With a front fastening, crew neck and three-quarter length sleeves, tuck into a pair of jeans, or a maxi skirt for a Winkleman-inspired look.

Next

For a high street alternative, head to Next. Its Velvet Sequin Embellished Jacket has all the hallmarks of Winkleman’s design, like a buttoned front, long sleeves and glittery outer.

All Saints

For a high street style, look to All Saints, where its Arlea Tulle Maxi Skirt has the same playful drama with layers of lace and tulle. Plus, it has an easy pull-on style with its elastic waistband and midi length.

Episode three

Winkleman keeps things sharp in episode three of The Celebrity Traitors with a pair of kilt-inspired Alexander McQueen tartan trousers, a COS short black coat and chunky Bottega Veneta boots, of which Winkleman has somewhat of a long-time love affair with. The roll neck she sports underneath the COS coat is from British label Hambro and Miller, but is now sold out.

Flannels

Winkleman’s favourite boots, and pair she’s worn for The Traitors year after year are from Bottega Veneta. But, if you wear them as much as Winkleman does, you’ll definitely get your money’s worth out of them.

Exact match

COS

Everyone needs a short wool jacket in their autumn/winter wardrobe, as proven by Winkleman herself, who is seen wearing this exact COS style (although it’s selling out super fast).

House of Bruar

The most striking part of Winkleman’s outfit has to be her red plaid trousers. Although McKeefry confirmed that Winkleman’s exact pair are from Alexander McQueen (now out of stock), this pair from House of Bruar look incredibly similar.

Boden

Boden’s Belgravia Wool Trousers are also a similar style to the pair seen on Winkleman. Plus, it’s available in three different lengths; petite, regular and long.

M&S

If you like the look of Winkleman’s now out-of-stock black jumper, M&S has an almost identical style that’s knitted from an ultra-fine air-yarn and with a cosy roll neck. Style with wide-leg trousers, chunky loafers and a long coat.

During the second round table of the series (RIP Tameka Empson), Winkleman wears a black Self Portrait x Christopher Kane jumper that stole the show, layered with a Reiss white shirt underneath and fitted trousers from ME+EM. We’ll be using her outfit formula as inspiration for adding a touch of drama to our everyday looks.

Exact match

Harvey Nichols

Part of Self-Portrait’s first Residency collection that was designed by Christopher Kane, Winkleman’s exact jumper is this statement style, complete with padded shoulders and lace-trimmed cut-outs.

Exact match

ME+EM

A perennial favourite of Winkleman’s, the ME+EM Tux Slim Crop Trouser is made from a wool-blend fabric and features a smart tailored leg. Style with a pair of ballet flats and a floaty shirt for an easy office outfit.

COS

If ME+EM’s pair of slim trousers is out of stock in your size, COS’s pair comes in a close second with its subtle stretch, cropped fit and elasticated waist.

Reiss

A white shirt is the crux of any workwear wardrobe, and this Reiss style is similar to the one spotted on Winkleman in episode 3. Wear on its own tucked into high-waisted trousers, or layered underneath a cashmere jumper

Episode one

The classic cape coat is back, and honestly, we’re so happy to see its return. During last season, Winkleman’s affinity for cape coats was responsible for the style trending through winter 2024, and it looks like the same will prove true this year. Winkleman paired the coat with a voluminous sleeve white blouse from Holland Cooper, wrist warmers from Brora and buckled Givenchy boots.

Amazon

While Winkleman’s exact cape coat is from Luxury Family Affair and costs £766, this Monsoon style is remarkably similar, much more affordable, and will serve you well.

Amazon

Not exactly Winkleman’s shirt, but this Zara shirt has a similarly sheer make and statement cuffs, perfect for zhuzhing up your button-down lineup.

Amazon

Keep your hands warm and fingers free for scrolling on your phone with these cashmere wristwarmers from Brora.

Amazon

Since the Givenchy boots are hard to find and come with a hefty price tag, consider shopping this pair from Steve Madden instead, which offers the same chic look.

Another sartorial return, McKeefry was inundated with messages last year asking where on earth she got a pair of red leather fingerless gloves from. What might surprise you, however, is the fact that these in-demand gloves are from Amazon and retail for under £30. What we love so much about Winkleman’s style is that excels when it comes to high-low dressing, pairing a ME+EM coat with £30 Amazon gloves.

Amazon

Winkleman’s stylist, Sinead McKeefry, confirmed last season that the cult fingerless gloves she dons are in fact, from Amazon. This pair looks identical to the style worn by Winkleman.
